About me
With ten years of senior leadership at Deputy and Assistant Head level in four schools ranging from inner city to rural, I've been privileged to impact most areas of school life.
Significant career achievements include transforming an inner city sixth form, speaking at national conferences on the use of data, overseeing sixth form support for a London borough, and playing a pivotal role in starting a new school.
I've timetabled using Nova T6 for several schools including with split sites, and provided contracted consultancy since 2017.

I have worked with Mark since 2016, and have used his expertise on a range of matters at Kingsdown School including policy review and development, curriculum planning, SLT roles and responsibilities, data, marketing, and externally scoring SLT applications. He maintains the staffing audit including future projections and writes our timetable.
His oversight of the staffing audit has facilitated an incredibly efficient use of staff, and has had a considerable positive impact on the budget. Since his involvement in the timetable, there has been a significant and sustained reduction in split classes, and middle leaders are completely confident in the rationale applied as well as the finished timetable. Outsourcing our timetable to Mark has been a huge success, he’s provided creative solutions and has a deep understanding of the connectedness of the staffing audit, financial viability and curriculum. Communication has always been very quick indeed, and he has found really creative solutions to any issues that have arisen. The impact on the timetable has been considerable, with a huge reduction in split classes on previous years.
Mark has also provided valuable advice to our Head of Sixth, covering many areas. He is very good with data and Excel, helping us with target setting, evaluating data, and writing an adaptive interview sheet for the August interviews - which gave a bespoke curriculum offer and set of target grades for each student. This made the August process very efficient indeed and facilitated the correct conversations.
Using Mark has therefore released significant capacity in our team and provided bespoke support for several colleagues, as well as of course the giving us a timetable that the whole academy benefits from.
