BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Education^[5] was established at the time of inception of this college, in the year 1979. The Department is presently offering Higher Secondary and B.A. Courses in Education. B.A. Course, both Honours and Regular is affiliated to Gauhati University. The Department has been following Gauhati University Credit Based Semester System Curriculum since 2011. The Department is playing an important role in the field of teaching-learning and education with extension activities in nearby areas, departmental seminars, psychological laboratory experiments, field based studies etc.
