The “FN” grade should be used for students who failed to attend or ceased attending up to and including the 60% point of the term. Non-attendance shall be defined as failure to perform meaningful academically-related activity including, but not limited to the following: submitting an academic assignment, taking an exam, participating in an online discussion about academic matters. If the “FN” is appropriate, you will need to record the last (or approximate last) date of attendance. The “FN” is punitive and will be treated the same as a grade of “F” in computing students' GPA. The primary purpose of the “FN” grade distinction is in response to expectations from the Federal government regarding students who receive Federal financial aid, but who stop attending class.
1. If you record an "FN" grade, you are required to enter the "Last Attend Date." If this date is not entered, none of the grades recorded on the worksheet will be submitted.
2. You may review your grade submission as soon as you submit your grades. There is a link on the final grade worksheet that will take you to the grade display and permit the review/print of your grade submission.

If your course runs all year, you will submit your grades in May.
