Your mental health and wellness impacts directly on your functioning, thereby impacting on your work performance and your daily life. It is not hard to imagine how the experience of discomfort (like aches and pains), negative emotions (like sadness, anxiety), moods (like depression), illnesses (like the flu), loss, trauma, etc. may affect your work performance, personal relationships, your relationship with yourself, family life, etc. We, however, go through life without taking time to assess our functioning, and think about, plan and implement changes that will benefit how we function (in terms of our wellness), thereby affecting the overall quality of our lives.
Our Mental Health and Wellness Assessments, as an important starting point, aim to assess various aspects relating tostaff functioning to help identify possible lifestyle and wellness-related areas requiring attention, critical in understanding comorbid health-related risks.
After completing the assessments and profiling the health and wellness of staff, we will be in a better position to identify health and wellness risks and assist in providing adequate resources to support staff and departmental functioning. Information staff provide will be used as data that will further be used to compile a composite organizational report to reflect the mental health and wellness functioning of the department.
