We aim to create a multifaceted garden tailored for aesthetics and for pollinators. Our anthropocentric and biocentric framework showcases a wide variety of plants – ranging from native prairie smokes to discreet creeping thyme – creating a colorful bloom of flowers, butterflies, and bees.

We respectfully acknowledge that the garden we have planted resides on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation. As we tend to this land and nurture new life within it, we recognize the deep-rooted relationship that the Syilx people have maintained with these lands for countless generations. Their stewardship, knowledge, and teachings about the land continue to shape and sustain this region. We honour the Indigenous ways of knowing, growing, and relating to the natural world. Let this garden not only be a place of growth and nourishment, but also a space for reflection, responsibility, and ongoing reconciliation. May we care for this land with gratitude, humility, and a commitment to learning from those who have long called it home.
