Welcome! I am an economist at Amazon. I use microeconomic theory and causal inference methods to study business, development, agriculture, environment, and gender issues. I have published in the Journal of Development Economics, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Forest Policy and Economics, Ecological Economics, Agricultural Economics, Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy, and Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics.
I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Georgia in the United States, an MS in Agricultural Development from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, and an MS in Agricultural Engineering from the National School of Agriculture in Morocco.
Before joining Amazon, I held several research positions, including Postdoctoral Scholar at Penn State, Impact Evaluation Field Coordinator, Junior Fellow, and Economist at the World Bank Africa Gender Innovation Lab (GIL), and Associate Professional Officer at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). My research experiences gave me strong skills in practicing the econometrics of impact evaluation, conducting surveys, and analyzing quantitative data.
I am open to non-academic or academic research opportunities.
