I’m a healthcare professional, community member, and permanent Lake County resident who believes that when something serious happens, the people in charge should be steady, accessible, and competent.
My career has taken me through hospital chaplaincy, intensive care nursing, leadership roles in hospital systems, and now home health and hospice work across Lake, Summit, and Park counties. Throughout all of it, I’ve worked closely with families during moments of crisis, transition, and loss — and I’ve learned how important clear communication and calm leadership really are.
I’m running for Lake County Coroner because this is a role where experience matters, organization matters, and how families are treated matters.
I am a Registered Nurse with experience in:
Intensive care and trauma settings
COVID ICU nursing during the pandemic
Interventional Radiology and department leadership
Home health and hospice care
End-of-life coordination and bereavement support
I’ve also served on hospital ethics committees and worked alongside physicians, EMS, hospice teams, and donor organizations. In one hospital role, I built and led a department from the ground up — creating systems, hiring staff, and making sure things worked reliably under pressure.
My leadership experience is directly relevant to the coroner’s office.
End of life care doesn’t need drama — it needs clarity, dignity, and professionalism.
Families deserve:
timely communication
clear expectations
respectful treatment
a system that works when emotions are high
My background in hospice and healthcare has taught me when to slow things down, when to explain things plainly, and how to keep processes moving without losing sight of the people involved.
I live in Leadville with my husband, Ryan. We chose to make our life here because we value community, access to the outdoors, and a more intentional way of living. I love skiing, biking, and being outside — and I care deeply about this town and the people who call it home.
Like many people, my path here wasn’t linear. I’ve changed careers, moved across the country, and learned a lot along the way. What’s stayed consistent is my commitment to doing things well, taking responsibility seriously, and showing up when it matters.
I’m not running to make this office about me.
I’m running because Lake County deserves a coroner who:
is accessible
communicates clearly
works well with local healthcare partners
treats families with respect during difficult moments
I believe I can bring steady leadership, modern systems, and a grounded presence to this role — and I would be honored to serve our community.
