June 2021
Edits Nation began long before it had a name. Back in June 2021, I came up with a nickname for myself: B-DOG. It felt cool, unique, and it suited me perfectly. To my surprise, my friends loved it too, and the nickname quickly caught on. What started as something casual soon began to feel like an identity.
That same year, in a food technology lesson at secondary school, I had to make smoothies. Since I’ve always loved smoothies, I decided to give my creation a fun twist. Out of nowhere, I imagined what it would be like to run my own smoothie company called B-DOG Smoothies. I shared the idea with a teacher, who told me: “I would love to try a B-DOG smoothie.” I never got the chance to let him try it, but after tasting it myself, I thought it was delicious. That moment gave me the confidence to think: maybe B-DOG could become more than just a nickname

Inspired by that smoothie idea, I started making concepts under the B-DOG brand. I tried creating knock-off versions of famous companies like Tic Tacs, Google, and Sky TV. None of them were perfect, but it was my first real step into imagining B-DOG as something bigger. I didn’t know it yet, but this habit of experimenting and creating concepts would stay with me for years.

2021
My journey on YouTube actually began in January 2021, when I launched my very first channel, BTV. At the time, I just wanted a space to upload videos, experiment, and try out random ideas. After a few months, I decided I wanted to create a different kind of content — something more focused on edits and memes. So, in April 2021, I started a brand-new channel called Brooklyn Edits, which quickly became my main project.

Later that same year, I was inspired by my cat, Kitston, who was always doing something cute. Since cat videos were trending online, I created a third channel called Kitston the Cat. By the end of 2021, I had three channels active, each with its own purpose and personality.
2022
Unfortunately, in late 2022, I terminated all three of my channels. Looking back, the content wasn’t very good, and I understood why they didn’t last. Still, it felt like a huge setback.
Not long after that, I faced an even bigger challenge: I suffered a brain haemorrhage and two strokes. I spent a long time in hospital, recovering from surgery and adjusting to a new reality. It was a difficult chapter of my life, but even while I was lying in a hospital bed, I couldn’t stop thinking about YouTube. I wanted to come back stronger.
September 2022
When I left the hospital in September 2022, I made myself a promise: I would rebuild Brooklyn Edits into something far better than before. This time, I focused on quality, and soon the videos started gaining more views and attention.
Around the same time, I revisited my old passion for making concepts. In a computing class, I designed a new B-DOG logo — cleaner and sharper than anything I had made before. I proudly used it as my YouTube profile picture and banner, and slowly but surely, my channel began to grow again.

April 2023
By the end of February 2023, I had gone through surgery to receive a titanium skull, and during recovery, I started thinking about my content again. Brooklyn Edits had become a mix of memes, edits, and gaming videos — too many categories for one channel. To fix this, I decided to branch out.
Originally, I had created a channel called B-DOG Music. I uploaded weekly playlists like “Top 10 Songs of the Week.” But I wasn’t happy with how it turned out. Instead of deleting it, I rebranded it into Get Gaming, a channel dedicated solely to gaming. It became the second main channel under my brand at the start of April.
Late 2023
In late 2023, I decided to take the B-DOG brand beyond YouTube. At school, I started making bookmarks with the B-DOG logo and handed them out to classmates. To my surprise, everyone loved them. They became so popular that I kept designing more. I even expanded into making Christmas cards with the B-DOG logo, which were just as well-received. For the first time, B-DOG wasn’t just an online project — it had a real-world presence.

Late 2024
By 2024, Brooklyn Edits had grown into a strong and successful channel. One day, I thought to myself: the nation loves my edits. That simple thought sparked the idea for a brand-new name: Edits Nation. It felt bold, powerful, and far bigger than B-DOG.
In June 2024, I officially made the change. I launched the Edits Nation Discord server and rebranded my visuals with a brand-new Edits Nation logo. I updated my banners, thumbnails, and bookmarks to match the new branding. Around the same time, my brother Casper started his own channel (Casper's Digitals), and I realised that Edits Nation could be more than just me — it could be a group of creators working together
2025
In early 2025, I expanded even further by launching Edits TfL, a channel dedicated to London’s transport system. Around that time, I watched a Media Central UK livestream, where I made friends with other creators. They were supportive, friendly, and many of them wanted to be part of what I was building.
That was the moment I realised Edits Nation had grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. What started in 2021 as a fun nickname had turned into a creative community and brand by 2025. From smoothies to YouTube channels, from bookmarks to Discord, and from setbacks to comebacks, Edits Nation was officially here to stay.
