This guidebook has been prepared for all individuals appointed to editorial positions of CIJMR, so that they can:
Clearly understand their respective roles
Properly manage the OJS workflow
Maintain academic quality and publication ethics
1. Editor-in-Chief Guidebook
1.1 Role
The Editor-in-Chief is the highest academic and policy-making authority of the journal.
1.2 Key Responsibilities
Define the journal's Aim, Scope, and Editorial Policy
Take final decisions on publication
Form, renew, and evaluate the Editorial Board
Decide on matters related to ethics, plagiarism, and misconduct
Approve Special Issues

Maintain transparency in major decisions
Follow COPE guidelines
Provide academic leadership to the Editorial Board
1.4 Don'ts
Do not show personal or institutional bias
Do not directly interfere in the peer review process
2. Managing Editor Guidebook
2.1 Role
The Managing Editor is the chief coordinator of the journal's day-to-day operations.
2.2 Key Responsibilities
Manage submission and review workflow in OJS
Coordinate initial screening and desk rejection
Coordinate with Associate Editors and Reviewers
Maintain issue planning and publication schedules
2.3 Do's
Regularly monitor the status of all submissions
Strictly adhere to timelines
Provide regular reports to the Editor-in-Chief
2.4 Don'ts
Do not take academic decisions independently
Do not modify reviewer reports
3. Associate Editor Guidebook
3.1 Role
The Associate Editor ensures subject-specific academic quality.
3.2 Key Responsibilities
Handle assigned manuscripts
Select appropriate reviewers
Supervise the peer review process
Provide recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief

Ensure reviewer comments are constructive
Maintain the double-blind review policy

4. Section Editor Guidebook

The Section Editor manages a specific section or Special Issue.
4.2 Key Responsibilities
Handle section-specific submissions
Maintain section scope
Coordinate with Guest Editors, if any

Maintain the academic identity of the section
Complete reviews on time

Do not accept manuscripts outside the section scope
5. Editorial Board Member Guidebook

Editorial Board Members are the academic support system of the journal.
