This is my first painting of the theme I have been exploring lately. The stove and kettle are recurrent symbols of simplicity. In this busy rushed times I want to share and offer a little piece of tranquility by portraying a being along and still by deeply thinking about life and enjoying it with his/her thoughts. In this piece specifically; The person exclusively enjoying the warm that comes from the stove in the corner. one little simple event that can bring you peace if you awaken your awareness.

This is my third painting of a series with the same theme. I am currently working on three more of the same series. Two of a bigger format and one smaller. This is a very exciting topic for me because for the first time in my life of painting where I feel that I have found what I want to communicate. In this piece, I want to communicate simplicity, starting with the colors I have used. Just the primary. The characters ponders and takes time to think and reflect as opposed to being distracted or rushing.

I am also projecting a dream I have of building a little cabin where I can just sit, create, and enjoy silence. This painting specially exorcises the idea of achieving the dream and then considering living that kind of life. The window symbolizes the hope to look for a new adventure.
