If you want massive battery life and immersive over-ear comfort for long sessions, choose Edifier W830NB; if you need real-time translation features and ultra-portable true wireless earbuds for dj or on-the-go communication, choose Anker Soundcore P31i. These two devices sit at opposite ends of the audio spectrum, serving different lifestyles and technical requirements. One is a stationary powerhouse designed for deep listening, while the other is a compact tool built for mobility and language bridging. Understanding where your specific needs lie—whether it's about sound isolation during a set, the weight of the gear, or the ability to translate a conversation instantly—is the only way to make the right choice between these two distinct options.
• Edifier W830NB: Offers 94 hours of playtime and -45dB active noise cancellation in an over-ear design, but it lacks portability due to its size and weight. Best for users who prioritize long battery life and immersive studio-quality sound over carrying convenience.
• Anker Soundcore P31i: Delivers 50 hours total playtime with a charging case and includes unique AI translation capabilities in a lightweight in-ear form factor, though it has shorter single-use battery life than the Edifier. Best for travelers and those needing hands-free communication tools like voice assistants for kids headphones for dj scenarios or general daily use.
The Edifier W830NB is engineered for the listener who refuses to compromise on endurance and immersion. At its core, this headphone utilizes a 40mm large dynamic driver paired with an independent acoustic chamber layout. This setup supports LDAC high-definition decoding, which transmits data at a rate of 990kbps. In practical terms, this means the device delivers three times the music detail of standard Bluetooth codecs, creating a rich soundstage that lets you feel every note. If you are looking for true wireless earbuds for dj work, this isn't the right tool, but as an over-ear solution for critical listening, the spatial audio algorithm creates a cinema-level surround atmosphere that is hard to match in this price bracket.

For the user who spends hours connected, the battery performance is the headline feature. With ANC turned off, the W830NB offers an astonishing 94 hours of continuous playback. Even with active noise cancellation engaged, the low power consumption chipset ensures extended usage without the constant anxiety of finding a charger. The fast-charging capability is equally impressive; a mere 15-minute charge provides up to 10 hours of use. This makes it ideal for long flights, multi-day road trips, or extended study sessions where plugging in isn't always an option.
The physical design prioritizes all-day comfort through an ergonomic structure featuring soft earpads and an adjustable headband. Weighing around 265g, it is substantial enough to provide stability but light enough for prolonged wear. The fully foldable design allows for flexible portability, making it travel-friendly despite being over-ear. Furthermore, the inclusion of Deep Neural Network (DNN) noise reduction technology ensures that even in noisy environments, your voice comes through clearly during calls by intelligently separating speech from background noise. If you value a stable connection via Bluetooth 5.4 and a robust build with leather and metal materials, this is a serious contender for anyone seeking a premium over-ear experience.
The Anker Soundcore P31i takes a completely different approach, focusing on versatility, portability, and intelligent connectivity. As true wireless earbuds, they weigh a mere 59g including the case, making them nearly invisible when stored. The standout feature here is the Real-Time Adaptive Noise Cancelling system, which reduces noise by up to 52 dB. Unlike static ANC modes, this technology detects your surroundings automatically and adjusts the level to suit your environment. Whether you are walking down a busy street or sitting in a quiet cafe, the earbuds adapt instantly to provide the optimal silence.
Beyond audio quality, the P31i introduces a feature rarely found in consumer audio gear: Real-Time 100+ AI Translation. This capability allows users to communicate effortlessly in over 100 languages, with AI instantly translating speech with high accuracy. This makes the device particularly useful for travelers or professionals who need to bridge language gaps quickly. Additionally, the six AI-enhanced microphones work with advanced algorithms to separate your voice from background noise, ensuring clear calls even outdoors thanks to wind-noise reduction. For someone considering voice assistant kids headphones for dj setups or any scenario requiring hands-free clarity, the microphone array is superior to many competitors.
Battery life is solid, offering up to 10 hours on a single charge and a total of 50 hours with the charging case. Even with ANC active, you get 8 hours per charge. A quick 10-minute charge yields 3.5 hours of listening time. While this doesn't surpass the Edifier's marathon runtime, it is more than sufficient for daily commutes and short trips. The Hi-Res Certified sound with LDAC ensures that despite their small size, these earbuds reproduce musical nuances with well-balanced treble and bass. The IP55 rating adds durability against sweat and water, making them suitable for workouts or outdoor activities where the Edifier's larger form factor would be impractical.

The sheer longevity of the 94-hour battery and the superior isolation provided by the over-ear design create a dedicated listening environment that earbuds simply cannot replicate. However, if your workflow involves frequent travel, language barriers, or a need for absolute discretion, the Anker Soundcore P31i becomes the undeniable winner due to its AI translation and compact form factor. For a dedicated dj setup where sound fidelity and isolation are paramount, the Edifier remains the stronger choice, while the Anker excels as a versatile companion for the mobile user.
The Edifier W830NB is better suited for dj mixing due to its over-ear design providing better isolation and a larger 40mm driver for detailed frequency response, whereas the Anker P31i is an in-ear option better for casual listening.
