App Name: Edge Volume Brightness Slider
This Privacy Policy explains how AuraaByte ("we", "our", or "us") handles user data when you use the Edge Volume Brightness Slider application (the "App").
We believe that utility tools should simply work without invading your privacy. Edge Volume Brightness Slider is built to be completely private, offline, and self-contained.
No Personal Data Collected: We do not collect, process, log, or track any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or device identifiers.
No Network Traffic: The App does not request internet access (android.permission.INTERNET). It cannot transmit any data from your device to external servers, third-party analytics services, or advertising platforms.
Local Preferences Only: Any configuration choices you make—such as slider positions, dimensions, sensitivity, color schemes, or assigned control types—are stored strictly on your local device storage using standard Android preferences. This data never leaves your device.
To function as an overlay controller, the App requires specific Android system permissions. Each permission is used solely for its core operational purpose:
Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW):
Required to display the interactive slider strips on the screen edges on top of active applications.
Modify System Settings (WRITE_SETTINGS):
Used exclusively to adjust your screen brightness level when you slide the assigned control strip. If you choose not to control brightness with the App, this permission is not needed.
Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):
Required on modern Android versions to show an ongoing, low-priority foreground service notification. This ensures the Android system does not terminate the background overlay service while you use other apps.
Vibrate (VIBRATE):
Used solely to provide optional haptic feedback ticks as you adjust sliders.
The App contains:
No third-party advertising SDKs (e.g., AdMob, Unity Ads).
No third-party analytics tools (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics).
No crash-reporting trackers.
Because no third-party libraries have network access, no third party can collect information about your app usage or device.
The App does not target children under the age of 13, nor does it collect data from anyone, including children. It is safe for all audiences.
If we update our privacy practices in the future, we will update this policy and update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Because the App lacks internet permissions to push notifications, users are encouraged to review the updated policy on the app's store listing.
