My father and I during my graduation as mechatronics engineer.
Hi, I am Edgar from Bogotá, Colombia. In 2011, I graduated as a mechatronics engineer from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. During my thesis, I worked with Dr. Yaoyu Li at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the nonlinear position and force control algorithms for single rod hydraulic cylinders. After graduation, I worked as a research engineer with Dr. Jorge Sofrony in the motion control of a Stewart Gough platform. In 2014, I joined the Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas under supervision of Dr. Robert Gregg. My goal in the LoCoLab is to provide powered prosthetic legs and rehabilitation exoskeletons with actuators and control systems that allow synergy between human and machine.
Bring me some running shoes or a bike, a beautiful landscape and I would love to join. Soccer? why not? Salsa dancing, absolutely!
