I am currently a professor at the School of Economics at the University of Nuevo Leon (UANL). Since 2022, I have served as Director of the Center for Economic Research (CIE) at UANL. I am also a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) level I. My research areas include time series analysis, applied macroeconomics, and machine learning.
In the last years, I have worked as an adjunt professor at differents schools within the UANL and also at the University Andrés Bello, the University of Washington (UW), Seattle University (SU), Northeastern University, and Seattle Colleges, teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses. I was Editor-in-Chief of Ensayos, Revista de Economía from 2016 to 2022. I have published several articles in national and international journals, as well as books and book chapters. Before earning my Ph.D. from the University of Washington, I worked as a researcher at the Human Services Policy Center at UW and at the Mexican Ministry of Finance (Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público).
