My research explores (1) how organismal perception and behavior shapes trophic interactions and in turn affects ecological dynamics/regimes and, vice versa, (2) how certain ecosystems or ecological circumstances give rise to behavioral strategies given their influence on organism’s physiology, nervous system, and cognitive capacities.
My research spans several biological levels from nervous systems to ecosystems. I primarily conduct my research using a variety of modeling techniques, both motivated and parameterized with empirical data.
I originally hail from Burlington, VT. I received my B.A. in cognitive science at Vassar College in 2021 and subsequently received my Ph.D. in cognitive science at Indiana University In 2025. I currently am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Vermont with the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory.
