Family and Community Medicine plays a vital role in the healthcare system of the Philippines and is also geared towards accessible and extensive care particularly in geographically - isolated communities in the country which may have limited access to specialized medical services. Trained to provide comprehensive and holistic care to individuals, families, and communities giving emphasis on preventative and primary care which makes us particularly important in the Philippine healthcare system. We also highlight understanding on social determinants of health, contributing factors beyond just medical issues that affect patient's well-being.
