Dr. Kari M. Eddington - Director
Dr. Eddington is a Professor, Director of Clinical Training, and Licensed Clinical Psychologist in UNCG’s Psychology Department. She received her Ph.D. from Indiana University and completed a clinical internship at the University Of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Eddington’s research has been supported by grant funding from NIMH and involves collaboration with other researchers both within and outside of UNCG. Emily graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She has a clinical interest in mindfulness, self-compassion, and acceptance-based interventions, and she is a certified yoga instructor. Emily studies stigma related to depression and the potential negative consequences of over-identification with mental health diagnoses. She enjoys hiking, sushi, and spending time with her family and two dogs, Koa and Lilo.
