On the day of edcamp…

What should I bring? Bring a digital device, wifi will be available. Bring your expertise, your opinions, your successes, and your failures. We’re all here to learn.

What does it cost? Edcamp Innovative Teaching & Learning is free.

Will there be food? There is a 1 hour lunch scheduled into the day. We hope to provide lunch on campus for our participants. Stay tuned.

Is the session board really blank? Yes. Click here for a blank sample board. That board will be editable once we begin.

Can anyone suggest a topic? Yes, some sessions will be created because an educator has something they want to share with others, like “Project Based Learning ideas” for example. Other sessions will be created by educators who seek to learn more about a particular topic, like “Google Docs in the classroom” or “Redesigning Schools”. What can I expect to learn from Edcamp? First, if anyone leaves EdcampITL and feels they didn’t gain something they can immediately use in their classroom, it’s their own fault. The schedule for the day, sessions and topics, are created entirely by the you. If you find yourself in a session that is not beneficial to you, leave. The rule of 2 feet suggests that you use your 2 feet to get up and find a session where you will benefit. Everyone at Edcamp is there to learn, share, grow, create connections, and explore ways their students will benefit from the ideas shared at Edcamp. For many educators, edcamp has been the catalyst that impacts their students for years. Be prepared to be changed by edcamp.

How long does it last? We will give out doorprizes and wrap up our event by 2:30pm.
