Take charge of your own professional learning. Edcamps are made by educators for educators. Join us for a day of learning, networking and fun!

The day will begin with networking. Start thinking about a session that you'd like to add on the schedule. No one should come prepared with a presentation, instead just come with a topic for discussion or a question that has been burning.

After the morning kick off, the sessions will begin. The law of two feet applies all day. If you are in one session, and would like to move to a different one, please do! After lunch and additional sessions, there will be time to share your favorite Web 2.0 (or not!) tools and give away great prizes from our sponsors.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

The location will have wireless access so be sure to bring your favorite device. In addition, security requires that all participants have valid government ID to enter the building. Other than that bring an open mind and smile.

Where can I park?

There is a ton of parking availability in the front of the building, adjacent to the athletic field, and additional marking along Cedar Street.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, having a printed ticket or electronic ticket will suffice. We do not want to turn people away.

Will chow be provided?

Breakfast will be offered to all of those in attendance. At lunch time, there will be an 'After Ed Camp Delmarva' event at a local eatery in Pocomoke City, MD.

Format:

Upon arriving at your destination you will be invited into a gathering area to start the day. Participants see a blank schedule displayed for sessions. Session times and rooms are clearly seen, with no descriptions. Session descriptions are created right then, by participants. All sessions are discussion driven. Blank cards are available to participants who have a specific topic they want addressed. Each person writes that topic on a card to establish it as a session. Usually, the person proposing the session heads up the discussion. However, once a discussion begins, anyone can take lead!

The selection of topics stimulates discussion and questioning amid participants to determine where they will go, what they will attend and what they should expect. When selecting a session to attend, participants need to consider backup alternatives. This is referred to as “The Rule of Two Feet.” You are welcome to leave the session at anytime to find another topic that better fits your needs.

At the end of the day, we will have a “smackdown,” in which participants are invited to share any tools, tricks, or tips with others! The “smackdown” is followed by the closing.
