About Edcamp
Guiding Principles of Edcamp:
Edcamps are free and open to all. Edcamps never charge a fee and are open to educators of all levels, subjects, and schools.
Edcamp is participant-driven. Edcamps allow participants to collaboratively determine session topics. Session topics are sourced from those attending the Edcamp and the session board can be built the day of the Edcamp or prior to depending on the platform and time availability.
The experts are in the room. Typically, the focus of an edcamp is on conversation and participation, rather than on presentation. Participants choose what topics to discuss and decide where the conversations go.
Rule of two feet and be where you need to be. If one session does not meet your needs, "vote with your feet" and head to a different session.Â
What happens at Edcamp DOES NOT stay at Edcamp. This day is meaningless unless these ideas grow and spread to influence others. Share to your heart's content! Use #edcampPDX.
Vendor free: Edcamps may not sell any goods/services or require attendees to purchase goods or services.
