Leticia Citizen

Leticia Citizen, an educator for 20 years, is beginning her 3rd year as an i4Coach. She has a particular interest in technology-enhanced teaching and global connections. As a result, she currently and effectively implements many applications available to teachers, helping augment their students’ learning, modernizing traditional classroom methods.

Ben Cogswell

Ben is a Kinder teacher in Salinas, California. He is Captain of the Kinder Rockets, which have been featured twice in the NY Times. He is a Google Innovator, Seesaw Certified Educator, and Common Sense Media Ambassador.

Jessica Reed

Jessica Reed is a special education teacher in Georgia, who has been teaching for 11 years. Jessica’s undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky. She has a Masters of Arts in Collaborative Teaching (6-12) from the University of Alabama. She received her ED.S. in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. Jessica is a certified Google for Education Trainer and a Google Innovator (#NYC19).

Susie Gomez

Susie Gomez is starting her 10th year as a middle school English teacher in Southern California. She is a Level 1 and 2 Google Certified Educator who enjoys sharing ideas with teachers at Edtech conferences and through social media.

Erica Aguirre

Erica is a middle school and high school history teacher and loves using tech to enhance her student's learning experiences and increase her productivity both in and out of the classroom. In her spare time, you can find her at Duran Duran and Backstreet Boys concerts, or attempting to hang out with them at hotel pools!

Stacy Kline

Stacy is a 30-year NBCT, LECOBT CTE teacher, and Google Certified Trainer. She teaches STEAM, Robotics, Coding, MakerEd, Physical Computing, Design & Modeling, Graphic Art, and PLTW at the Advanced Learning Academy in SAUSD. She is a Global GEG and GEG SoCal Leader, board secretary for OCCUE and coach Femineers, Robotics, Imaginology and Maker teams. She loves saying yes to new, innovative projects!

Valerie Sun

Dr. Valerie Sun has been an educator since 2006 and has taught across grade levels from preschool to doctoral level courses. She enjoys integrating EdTech into all of her classrooms to create an effective learning environment. Currently, she trains teachers in dual-immersion and EdTech practices while teaching part-time at the university. She also presents research at national conferences. She is a Google Certified Educator Levels I and II, a Nearpod Certified Educator, an MIE Expert, an Apple Teacher, among other certifications.

Brian Lopez

Brian is an English Language Development & Intervention Teacher from Southern California. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Masters in Digital Teaching & Learning. He enjoys working with students of all learning abilities. He has a passion for teaching and sharing everything he learns.

Becky Colling

Becky is a Google Certified Trainer, Leader of Global GEG, Co-Leader of GEG SoCal, and an Instructional Coach in Newhall School District. Her primary focus is to support teachers in using technology to enhance their lessons while ensuring that teachers don’t lose sight of best practices/pedagogy.

Myra Deister

Myra Deister is a passionate educator with over 35 years experience teaching mathematics and computer science at the secondary level. She infuses innovative uses of technology into her classes and assists her colleagues with technology use. She is a member of the OCCUE board, ILC and State Network of Educators.

Jennifer Dean

Jennifer is a 1st grade teacher in Desert Sands Unified School District. She has taught TK and 2nd grade in Illinois and 2nd grade and 1st grade in California. She obtained a M.S in Instructional Technology, is a Seesaw Ambassador and Google Certified Educator Trainer. Jennifer loves technology and is always looking for awesome ways to integrate it into the classroom. #K2CanToo!

Karyn Fillhart

Karyn is a K-12 tech trainer using Microsoft and Google and teaches assistive technology at the Center for Neurodiversity, Learning, and Wellness. She taught elementary and special ed and is a MIEExpert, Apple Teacher, Google Educator, and NatGeo Certified Educator with a passion for accessibility tools to benefit everyone.

Scott Petri

Scott Petri has taught social studies at the middle and high school level since 2003. He has also served as a coordinator and small school principal in LAUSD. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Educational Administration from California State University Northridge, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of San Diego. Dr. Petri is a former board member of the California Council for the Social Studies and a past President of the Southern California Social Studies Association.

Christy Amoros Cook

Christy is a Special Education Teacher who is passionate about guiding students in becoming masters of themselves. With a focus on self-determination, student voice, and building confidence, Christy advocates for equitable and Universally Designed Learning environments where ALL students can thrive.

Sarah Kesty

Sarah Kesty teaches special education at a middle school in Chula Vista, California. She is a passionate advocate for people of all abilities and author of the children’s book Everyone Has Something. She hosts the Executive Function Podcast, where she shares her love of researching and innovating. Sarah specializes in executive functioning, ADHD, and learning disabilities.

Andrea Earl

With 30+ years teaching experience, Andrea has always been an innovator in her classroom, looking for new ways to engage her students through meaningful experiences. She currently teaches Math 7 and mentors the Mendez Hot Shots Rocketry team. Andrea is also an OCCUE Board Member, VP Events. Her recognitions include 2017 OCCUE Teacher of the Year & 2019 OCCUE Affiliate Leader of the Year. In her free time she is a Canvas Advocate and Canvas trainer.

Isaiah Olsen

Isaiah Olsen is a Google Level 2 Certified Educator who has served as an instructional coach for technology and is currently working as an educator in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. His passion is bringing technology to students so they can help find answers for problems that they are interested in solving. Isaiah enjoys sharing innovative practices that help teachers create lessons that embed opportunities for student voice, choice, and agency.

Karalee Nakatsuka

Karalee Wong Nakatsuka is a Wakelet Ambassador/Community Member, ThingLink, BrainPOP, and Flocabulary Certified Educator, Flipgrid Certified Educator/Ambassador/GridGuide, and Level 1 Google Certified Educator who is passionate about building community, making history come alive, utilizing tech, sharing, collaborating, and learning and growing as an educator in Arcadia Unified.

Katherine Goyette

Katherine Goyette is an EdTech Consultant for Tulare COE. She designs and implements professional learning sessions and conducts in-class coaching. Katherine is a Google Certified Trainer & Innovator, Newsela Certified Educator, Apple Teacher, and Microsoft Innovative Educator. Formerly, Katherine was an administrator, coach, and classroom teacher.

Victoria Thompson

Victoria Thompson is a STEM Integration Transformation Coach at TAF @ Saghalie, a middle school located in Federal Way, WA. She moved to the Seattle, WA area in 2018 with her wife Kourtney, where her career has pivoted to focusing on K-12 mathematics instruction with research on decolonizing mathematics curriculum for teachers and learners, creating inclusive math environments, and using technology to bridge equity gaps in math education.

Kimberly Voge

As an educator for 27 years, Kim is an innovator in and out of the classroom. Kim believes in identifying the learning objective and applying the appropriate technology. Literacy in all content areas, including new media, is the goal. In the classroom, she weaves together pedagogy and technology in meaningful ways.

Ed Campos

Ed currently works as an Independent Education Consultant and Math/Computer Science/Ed Tech Consultant with Kings County Office of Education in the Central Valley of California. He taught high school Math and Computer Science for over 15 years in the San Joaquin Valley where he was instrumental in creating a model 21st century math learning space that allowed his students to express themselves, present, and teach their peers in a multitude of ways. He has a passion for travel, technology, and for empowering students and colleagues with the skills and knowledge that make the classroom more fun and effective.

Joe Marquez

Joe Marquez is an educator, technology leader and the Director of Academic Innovation for CUE. His innovative spirit, outgoing attitude and outrageous personality has earned him the coveted titles of Certified Google Innovator, Certified Google Trainer, Common Sense Ambassador, Apple Teacher, Flipgrid Student Voice Ambassador and Microsoft Innovative Educator. Joe is also the co-host of the Sons of Technology Podcast.

Nate Ridgway

Nate is a tech-loving history teacher in Avon, Indiana and co-author of Don’t Ditch That Tech: Differentiation in a Digital World. He specializes in lesson design and differentiation, and also is licensed in History Ed and Mild Interventions. He was the Indiana Connected Educator of the Year in 2020 and his work has been featured in newspapers such as the New York Times. He also holds a Master’s Degree in History from the University of Indianapolis.

Lisa Highfill

Lisa Highfill describes herself as a thinker, philosopher, debater, and geek. She was a classroom teacher for over twenty years, and is currently Pleasanton Unified School District’s Technology Integration Coach. Lisa is the co-creator and co-author of The HyperDoc Handbook and Teachers Give Teachers.

Omar Shepherd

Omar Shepherd is a Curriculum Specialist in STEM and Career Education with the Orange County Department of Education. His work focuses on supporting districts, schools and teachers as they implement Computer Science and Robotics Programming. Additionally, he serves as a Supplemental Support Provider to a caseload of 60 students, ages 16 to 21, supporting their transition into life after high school.

Mary Clark

Mary Clark​ ​is​ ​the CEO of Agents of Discovery, an educational platform that encourages students to get active while learning.​ ​She​ ​holds​ ​a​ ​M.Ed.​ ​with​ ​a​ ​focus​ ​on​ ​education technology, and brings years of experience as a teacher and science​ ​textbook writer​ to​ ​her​ ​role with Agents of Discovery.
