Captions

Captions are used to guide understanding of an artifact presented. 

Captions for your digital portfolio should:

• Be written in narrative form (example below).

• Include two paragraphs:

  • Paragraph 1 - What the artifact was all about.

  • Paragraph 2 - How the artifact meets the specific standard
    (LMS emphasis - KSDE Librarian and Information Teacher Standards; TIS emphasis - ISTE Coaching Standards)

• Use exemplary written communication skills.

During the Practicum course, you will be given the opportunity to become familiar with creating captions along with creating your own sample caption for future reference.
