Topics

Examples of relevant topics for the workshop are as follows:

• Visualization design and evaluation in multidisciplinary teams, targeting industrial applications (e.g. manufacturing, healthcare, defense, etc).

• XR design and evaluation in multidisciplinary teams. 

• Remote/distributed user testing, co-creation and collaboration.

• Limited resources management in iterative design processes.

• Capturing human factors.

• Fostering cross-disciplinary synergies.

• Participatory design with expert professionals.

• End-user development for critical workforce tasks.

Submission guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Submissions must be written in English and prepared in IEEE Computer Society VGTC (IEEE Vis Conference) format. LaTeX and Word templates as well as a sample PDF can be found at: https://tc.computer.org/vgtc/publications/conference/. The papers must be submitted in PDF format electronically via PCS (https://new.precisionconference.com/submissions). 

To create a new submission, select the following values among the submission options:

• Society: VGTC.

• Conference/Journal: VIS 2025.

• Track: VIS 2025 ECWIDNA.

All submissions will be reviewed by the workshop organizers and invited external reviewers (single-blind review–please include the authors information in your submission).

We are accepting submissions (from 2 up to 8 pages, including references - proportional to the size of the contribution) of one or more of the following nature:

• Case studies.

• Position papers.

• Work-In-Progress papers.

The accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Digital Library as part of the IEEE Vis Workshop proceedings. It is mandatory for at least one author from each accepted paper to register, attend, and present their work at ECWIDNA '25.
