Completion of the FAFSA (or opting out) is now a requirement for high school graduation in Texas. We strongly encourage all seniors planning to attend college or trade school after graduation to complete the FAFSA. Completing the FAFSA is a very important step in your college application process. First of all, it's free, so you have nothing to lose. You may qualify for financial aid, even if you aren't sure that you will. Important FAFSA Information:
Both parents and students will need an FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA when submitting online. Apply for your FSA ID at https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm.
The FAFSA can be submitted as early as October, and the deadline for applying is June.

As stated above, many scholarships require that a FAFSA be completed as part of the application process, regardless of the student's or family's income level. Don't miss out on a scholarship opportunity! Be sure you complete the FAFSA!
