  • Dr. Mohammed Agamy, Associate Professor

Dr. Agamy joined the University at Albany as an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Fall 2018. Prior to joining SUNY Albany he had been a Senior Power Electronics Engineer at the GE Global Research Center since 2008. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Engineering, University of British Columbia, Canada. From May 2003 to October 2008, he was with the Energy and Power Electronics Applied Research Laboratory at Queen’s University as a Research Assistant and then a Postdoctoral Fellow. His research interests include resonant converters, power factor correction, soft switching techniques, and modeling and control of power converters for renewable energy applications and ac and dc microgrids.
