Families in the Classroom

We as educators need to remember that families want to involved in every aspect of their child's life, including the classroom. We need to be finding oppurtuntities for families to come in and share their stories, culture and traditions in the classroom.

Parent resources

Some guardians may ask you how they can be involved within the school or classroom. Attached to the picture is a link to a blog that will give your parents/guardians examples of how they can be involved in the classroom and/or community.

Family Trees/Photos

Including a family tree or photos in the classroom will help those children who are hesitant to leave home. By doing this it allows for students to see their family at school creating home-school connections for your students.
