When does my team have to be ready for Skills?
One event will follow the other. For example, all athletes participating in the forward skating competition will be on the ice at the same time. Athletes competing in other competitions will wait off the ice for their event to begin.
All athletes must be ready and on the players bench (or designated area) 5 minutes before their scheduled participation time.
Athletes participating in the event must be familiar with the rules and format of the event they are participating in. A volunteer will be on the bench to answer any questions.
Drill diagrams will be available in the dressing rooms as well.
Any question about the drills prior to the event should be directed by email ECRCskills@hhringette.ca or stop by the tournament office during the event.
What should the competing athletes wear?
All participants must wear their full equipment and team playing uniform.
Athletes will be identified by their jersey number – results will be attributed to the athlete that coincides with the jersey number on the ECRC results website.
Who may participate?
All teams in the U14, U16 and U19 division may compete in the Ringette Skills Event. Each event is to be performed by a different athlete on the team.
