Introduction

The multifunctional food forest EcoVredeGaard started in 2015 after a collaboration with different participants like Wageningen University & Research, organisation Park Lingezegen, Wouter van Eck and Van akker naar Bos (foundation). This partnership will help us to realise our major goals.

• to make an education program about sustainable food system that can understand by the local community

in 2009 Ecovrede Nederland started with the initiative to show the world the possibilities in ‘making this world a better place’ in building realistic Paradise. Because of the essential movement towards this direction we recognized the necessary parallel movement to help the needy.

If we don’t help the needy in our society we can’t make the essential movement into a healthy, circulair and more natural society. We need new social orientated goals. Because of this we need to evaluate as society our movement driven by money and production. The current production methods asking too much of nature and human with fundamental disturbing effects. With the growing question; where does this growth come from and who will pay the damage!

Time to change into a healthy, natural growing respectful society.

Helping

We started with the distribution of food, bread , fruit and vegetables, furniture, clothes, toy’s, computers, bicycles and repair, learning pathways, reintegration processes, urban agriculture on all levels, personal advice on Health, Legal advise and so on. Our activities are for free with the question to do something in return. We made an example to show the society practical new possibilities. Beside this we initiated and participated in different alternative currency initiatives. To our opinion the Euro coin and its backgrounds are the basic problem in our society. Polluting and disturbing Nature with unhealthy aims as a result.

Money

The Netherlands are in the top ten of most rich countries in the world.

The needy don’t have enough and the people on top have too much. Both are not happy.

Beside that, our pollution of the environment is the highest, we have 30.000 people living without a home and nearby 2 million people don’t have enough money to live comfortable.

So; what can we do to change this situation? Learning people how to produce their own food. In their own garden, in their own house, in their own town without or with low costs to make a healthy environment in all aspects

Ecovrede is een non- profit organisation as a fundamental choice.

We have to make a basic transition as society. As Ecovrede we like to show examples of how to do things differently. The healthy, living examples for a future- proof society.

We look at society and see a lot of empty buildings. Buildings with a lot of ground around it. Perfectly effective to give social initiatives and urban agriculture a place. It is strange that our society blocked the possibility in squatting of vacant buildings.

Now local governments are asked to take the lead in giving high fines for vacancy.

So we organised our self as building manager company to try to transform this market.

We need some help to find useful places and we have the possibilities and ideas! With land we act the same way. Asking to give it in use for free so we can produce food and new nature. Natural people showed us the principle. Nature has to be taken good care off and its products serve the people and aren't for sale. Can we buy nature back when it's all gone?

Making a positive combination in giving the tools to produce people's own basic needs and restoring nature and biodiversity

Restore the world to the best of our children

• We have our working field in Dutch society and different third world countries
• Giving lectures and advise to authorities, schools, individual people about development of locations
• We are always in search of land and buildings
