ecoTribe waste management company that empowers local communities by collecting, sorting, and recycling waste
Did you know that 42 million tons of waste are produced per Year in Zambia?
Of all that waste, only a total of 7% is recycled
Over 200,000 waste workers work without a proper Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
With each waste worker earning an average income of K400 (apx $22) per month
Our Solution is to empower Waste-workers to collect and sort waste systematically and safely at the source. Both Carbon and plastic waste are collected to produce plastic pallets and charcoal briquettes. We plan to achieve this by:

WASTE - ED
1 to 4 Workshops Ideal for Max 12 People. Ideal for team building and raising waste-sorting awareness on how to use the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We produce and package our own Charcoal Briquettes that we supply to market under the brand name Green Charcoal. This is in an effort to curb deforestation.
Renewable materials: Charcoal briquettes can be made from sustainable and renewable materials such as sawdust, wood chips, and other biomass by-products, which can reduce the demand for fossil fuels.
Carbon neutral: Charcoal briquettes are carbon neutral, meaning that they release the same amount of carbon dioxide as the tree or plant absorbed while it was growing.
Long lasting: Charcoal briquettes tend to burn for longer periods of time than lump charcoal, which means less refilling of the grill or brazier.
Cost-effective: Charcoal briquettes are less expensive than firewood charcoal because they are made from recycled waste material, making them a cost-effective option for grilling and smoking.
