Privacy Policy for Ecorvi School Management

Ecorvi School Management  provides a school operations and communication platform that includes user authentication, in-app messaging, notification services, and access to institutional resources. 

Information Collection and Use

We collect and process limited user data as follows:

• Authentication Data: We use Firebase Authentication to manage login credentials securely. Email addresses and passwords are stored and encrypted by Firebase and used only for account access.
  
  

• User Roles & Permissions: Upon successful login, user roles (e.g., Admin, Student) are retrieved from Firestore to determine access to specific features.
  
  

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): We use FCM to send relevant messages or alerts to users based on their role or app status. This requires a device token which is securely stored in Firebase and is not shared externally.
  
  

We do not collect or share any personal data with third parties beyond what is necessary for Firebase services.

Permissions Used

To provide the best experience, our app may request the following permissions:

• Internet Access – Required to access Firebase, WebView content, and remote features.
  
  

• Notification Permission (Android 13+ / API 33+) – Required to send push notifications. The user is prompted to allow notifications after login. Notifications may include announcements, reminders, or alerts.

• Camera Access – Required for features such as document scanning, profile picture uploads, or other interactive functionalities. The app requests this permission when camera-based actions are initiated.

• Media Access (Storage Permission) – Used for uploading and accessing media files such as documents, images, and videos within the app. This permission is required when users interact with media-based features.

• Foreground Service (Optional) – Used in modules like real-time location or attendance, only if explicitly added in future versions.
  
  

No permissions are used for tracking or unnecessary background activity.

Children’s Privacy

Our app is designed for schools and may be used by children under 13 under supervision. We do not share, or sell any identifiable data of minors. All data stays within Firebase services and is protected under Google’s privacy terms. 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates, legal changes, or feature improvements. Updates will be available in-app or via this page.
