We are pleased to announce that the Department of Economics and Goizueta Business School of Emory University will host the 2025 edition of the NSF/NBER/CEME General Equilibrium Conference from the afternoon of October 17 (Fri) to the morning of October 19 (Sun).
The conference invites a wide range of theoretical papers, with a session focusing on AI and machine learning applications to economics. Following the long tradition of the conference, we plan to have around 12 contributed papers, with each speaker allocated 45-50 minutes for their presentation. In addition to contributed papers, Phillipp Strack (Yale) has accepted our invitation to deliver an invited lecture.
Please check the conference homepage for updates on logistical details and other helpful information.

W100, Goizueta Business School, Emory University (1300 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30322)
Taxi/Uber from ATL: Costs approximately $40-$60. Duration: About 25 minutes. Ask the driver to go to "Goizueta Business School, Emory University," which appears in the Uber navigator. The conference venue (W100) is in the West Wing of the Goizueta Business School.
Finding W100 could be tricky. We will have some students or staff help you, and plan to post the sign. In case you miss them, let us provide simple directions.
The driver is most likely to drop you off in front of the "arch" that connects the east and west wings of the business school. Go through the "arch" to find Costa Coffee shop on your right. W100 is roughly just below the coffee shop. Pass the coffee shop to find the entrance to the building with a sign "Goizueta Foundation" and come downstairs either by elevator or stairs.
An alternative is to turn right, facing the "arch." Go down the hill (while keeping the building on your left). You will find a small entrance with a sign "Executive Education" immediately after narrow stairs. The video clip might help you get an idea. Enter the building and turn left. W100 is a large classroom at the end of the corridor after an area with vending machines.
We have made a block reservation until September 15, 2025, at Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Decatur/Emory (116 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030). To take advantage of the group rate, inform the reservation desk that you are participating in "NSF/NBER/CEME General Equilibrium Conference." The group rate expires around September 15.
The hotel is close to downtown Decatur, which offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars. The Inman Park area is within a short Uber ride from the hotel, which is known for interesting restaurants.
How to reach the conference hotel from the airport.
The most convenient way to reach the conference hotel would be by taxi, Uber, or Lyft. Ask the driver to take you to "Hampton Inn, Decatur/Emory." The ride from the airport will be approximately 25 minutes. From the arrival terminal, the taxi stand is closer than the Uber/Lyft station.
You can also take the subway (MARTA) from the airport station. Take the Gold/Red Line from the Airport Station at the airport to Five Point Station to change to the Blue Line to Decatur. The hotel is located within walking distance of the MARTA station.
How to get to the conference venue from the hotel.
The conference hotel is located beyond walking distance but within a 10-minute drive from the campus. Please use a taxi or Uber/Lyft to get to the conference venue. Ask the driver to take you to the "Goizueta Business School at Emory University."
We will provide transportation services from the hotel to the venue on the mornings of October 18 (Saturday) and 19 (Sunday), and from the venue to the hotel in the evenings of October 17 (Friday) and 18 (Saturday).

If you were unable to reserve a room at the conference hotel, reputable hotels in the city of Decatur or the Midtown area of Atlanta would be good alternatives. Here are a couple of examples around the campus for your information.
Emory Conference Center Hotel (1615 Clifton Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329, US) is a full-service hotel on campus. The main advantage of the hotel is that it is within a (long) walking distance from the venue of the conference. The disadvantage is that the hotel is relatively isolated.
Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Decatur/Emory (130 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, GA, 30030) is located next to the conference hotel (Hampton Inn Decatur/Emory), offering more or less the same level of service as the conference hotel. However, we were told that the hotel does not have a dining facility for breakfast.
