About us

We are three PhD Candidates at UAB.

A little more detail about the faces behind Econisers, below!

MarTÍn Brun

Martín is a micro-applied economist with interests in the fields of Political and Public Economics.

He is an avid film buff, former rock/jazz/classical guitar player, and an enthusiast amateur cook.

You can find more about his work in economics on his website.

Gustavo Noguera

Gustavo’s Main Fields of Interest are Banking and Monetary Economics, with some Political Economy on the side.

When not nerding out in History books, he enjoys hiking and traveling.

EVA Pérez

Eva is interested in Microeconomic Theory broadly, but focuses on networks, information and game theory.

Outside academia, she enjoys going to the beach, nature in general and cooking. She likes reading a good book, (for her this is really related with thriller books). She loves having profound psychological and philosophical talks.

Founders and earlier organizers

Gabriela stockler

Gabriela is interested in Macro-Finance, (Social and Economic) Networks and Information.

Her other passions involve cooking and travelling. She never misses time from yoga and cycling (or any sports), nature, reading and even watching series. She values being tranquil, hopeful and resilient.

Katherina Thomas

Applied Micro and Development Econ (with focus on Child Development) are Katherina's main research fields.

You can always chat with her about Formula 1 (not objectively). More peacefully, she likes to discuss about photography, travelling, good books and current/historic developments.

Check out her website here to learn more!

Mridula duggal

Mridula's research is focussed on Monetary Policy and Adaptive Expectations.

Fun Fact: She is almost always up for a discussion on Neuroscience, Philosophy, Psychology and Productivity.
