Andrea Rangel Guevara
I am currently a post-doctoral researcher in Environmental & Transport Economics at the Institut de Recherche en Gestion et Economie (IREGE) of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB).
In my work, I study potential externalities from the transition to a greener economy (i.e. effects on populations & nature). I focus on redistribution, poverty, inequalities & biodiversity. I use applied microeconomics, econometrics and macroeconomics in my research.
I defended my PhD thesis titled "transport inequalities in the energy transition" in September 2024. The first article of my thesis is now published ! It is freely accessible here.
You can read a short summary in The Conversation France.
I have taught for the USMB since 2021 and was an "Attachée Temporaire de Recherche" (ATER) during the academic year 2024-2025. In 2021, I visited KU Leuven, hosted by Professor Sandra Rousseau, where I worked on the Mobility Gini project (second chapter of my thesis).
I completed my Masters in Economics & Sustainable Development at Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. I'm a development economist at heart. So don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like to collaborate.
