Dr. Jess Hartshorn has been working in forest health since 2008. She has worked for government agencies and universities, having both teaching and research appointments. She obtained tenure in 2024 from a world-renowned R1 university and has experience in all facets of forest and tree health. Jess is an Ohio Certified Pesticide Applicator (License #173027) and a Certified Senior Ecologist (Ecological Society of America). 

She also obtained her BS in Psychology while acting as a full-time Assistant Professor and is in the process of completing her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She obtained her RYT-200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2015.
