Eco Burrito is a student-run company initiated by the Junior Achievement Club at Kitsilano Secondary School, Vancouver. Established in October 2019, our company is set is promote business literacy in students while encouraging a greener and more sustainable community.
Aligning with the UN Sustainable Development goals, Eco Burrito has the mission to reduce single-use plastic by encouraging people to bring their utensils from home in our cutlery case. Eco Burrito also offers up-cycled utensils from local thrift stores, with a purpose of promoting the practice of reusing materials. Our case uses locally-sourced cotton fabric, and is produced by a fashion-design high school student in Vancouver. Through Eco Burrito, our team hopes to advocate for a sustainable lifestyle with minimized carbon footprints.
The Eco Burrito case is a simple concept: tuck your utensils in, roll and go. The Burrito can carry a variety of cutlery in our handcrafted pockets, with a bottom and top flap to hold your utensils in. The strap ensures that our Burrito is snug and secure for a convenient grab-and-go for your cutlery. Do not fret if your meal was particularly saucy: the Eco Burrito is machine washable.
