Learning to sort trash

In the 6th group, a lesson was held on the topic "Where does garbage come from and where does it go." During the lesson, the children learned that people throw away various packaging, cans, bottles, plastic and plastic items and much more every day. And before you throw away the garbage, you need to sort it - garbage from different materials is collected in different containers. This makes it easier to recycle in the factory. After all, the garbage that we throw away can change into something else. For example: empty jars - into candlesticks, plastic bottles - into vases, old gloves - into toys. The children made bees themselves using junk material (toilet paper rolls).

Experiment "How Garbage Decomposes"

The children and I decided to find out whether garbage disappears in nature or remains forever.

In early September, on the territory of the kindergarten, children dug household waste into the ground: cardboard, banana peels, a plastic bottle, metal objects, and put up signs.

At the end of October, after digging up the trash, the children found out that the banana peel had disappeared, the plastic bottle and metal objects remained in the ground in the same condition.

As a result of the experiment, the children concluded that after spending time in nature, food waste and paper can be buried, and the rest should be collected and thrown into a special container.
