The mission of the Eco-Wise Project is to revolutionize urban waste management by creating an interactive, technology-driven recycling solution that inspires individuals to take responsibility for their plastic waste. By combining innovative waste-sorting technologies, a rewards-based system, and real-time user engagement, Eco-Wise aims to foster a culture of sustainability, reduce plastic pollution, and contribute to cleaner, greener cities while aligning with global sustainability goals.

Incentivizing recycling through rewards such as points or vouchers is a powerful tool in promoting consistent, eco-friendly behavior. By transforming recycling into a rewarding and enjoyable activity, it encourages individuals to participate regularly. This approach not only boosts engagement but also nurtures a culture of sustainability within communities.

The challenge of low motivation, which often leads to improper waste disposal, can be addressed by making environmentally responsible actions beneficial to individuals. Reward-based systems provide a tangible incentive, fostering a sense of accomplishment while supporting broader environmental goals. In doing so, these systems not only improve recycling rates but also empower individuals to contribute to the larger movement toward sustainability.

Using sensors to detect and sort recyclable PET bottles ensures high accuracy and efficiency in recycling.
