ECOLOGICAL INFIORATE
Taking inspiration from the world famous Infiorate which takes place in Noto, Sicily every year in spring, we decided to give life to an Ecological Infiorate with every picture representing different topic using only recycled materials! The three segments of our Institute cooperated for the success of the great outcomes you can see in the video.

Every year we celebrate the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) which encourages all Europeans and not only to carry out awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management during a single week in November.

It was a great occasion to talk about the value of this precious resource in our everyday life. Children thought about their own experience related to water and 'put' it on their drawings. During the English lessons with Mrs Maria Luisa Di Costa they loved listening to nice songs about the topic of water too.

The 2021 edition returns Friday, March 26 and is dedicated to the "Leap of Species", the ecological evolution in our way of life that we must do to get out of the pandemic better. With a leap of species, from a bat to a pangolin, from pangolin to man, a virus has brought the human species to its knees.
We have understood how fragile we are, how dramatically interconnected we are, how we have worn out the world we live in by putting it at risk. We have made ourselves, the human species, a springboard for this leap of species: bat and pangolin were for millennia in balance in a tropical forest.
Now it is up to the human species to make a leap of species, an evolution in our way of inhabiting the planet. Each of us is called to become greener, more responsible, more sustainable, more efficient, more intelligent, more in harmony with the planet.

Our school is pleased to share with parterns an article, published in Orizzonte Scuola on 26 March 2021, on the Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles, in which it is cited with particular appreciation, a transversal learning unit designed and implemented by our school in the context of curricular teaching activities.
The unity, "a true preciousness" - as defined in the article - involved pupils of the three levels of school, childhood, primary and secondary first, in a transversal path on environmental education, health, legality, cultural heritage.
The quotation spurs us to persevere with ever greater commitment in an educational offer attentive to the great challenge of our time: the preservasion of our planet.

We are pleased to share with partners an article published in "Orizzonte Scuola" on 20 April 2021, on Civic Education in which it is cited with particular appreciation, as an example of good practice our transversal learning unit "We citizens for a sustainable world" designed and implemented by our school. The transversal UDA of this year intends to promote what is contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and expressed among the purposes of the Italian"National Indications and new scenarios". This national recognition spurs us to persevere with ever greater commitment in an educational offer attentive to the great challenge of our time: the preservasion of our planet.
