Established officially in 1997, ECMB began as a small ensemble of passionate musicians with only 47 instruments, but with a large number of members who shared a common goal of creating beautiful music together. However, ECMB faced a challenge with limited instruments hindering their growth. To overcome this obstacle, a Jogathon event was organized and that raised RM106209.00, allowing us to purchase additional instruments and expand our repertoire. The community's support made the Jogathon a success. 

ECMB is privileged to have highly skilled and experienced instructors. The initial instructor was from Sekolah Tun Fatimah, and their guidance has been instrumental in laying a strong foundation for ECMB's success. We are grateful for their contributions to us. In November of 1998, ECMB conducted its inaugural Band Camp at Asrama EC. Since our first year of competition in 1999, we have consistently demonstrated our commitment to excellence, earning victories over notable competitors such as SDJBAND and SAB Muar. This spirit of persistence and determination has been passed down through the years, and today we remain dedicated to upholding and elevating the ECMB name. As we look to the future, we will continue to move forward with the same passion and drive that has defined us from the very beginning.
