Echo Mitchell

I am a Costume Designer and Technician from North-Central Arkansas currently pursuing a B.A. in Theatre with minors in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies in the University of Central Arkansas's Schedler Honors College to be completed May of 2027.

I am currently in the process of developing my undergraduate research thesis Painted Ladies: Reconstructing the Gowns Immortalized by John Singer Sargent. 

I have presented Lady of Death: A Genderbent Perspective on the Clothing of Dracula at UCA's Quoined Corner Arts and Humanities Conference. 

I previously served as an educator for the Arkansas Craft School teaching Costume Crafts, Fiber Arts, Painting, and Introduction to Theatre to young artists. 

I also am the founder and operator of The Fairy Godmother Project, a non-profit which provides free formalwear to both young people in local schools and local branches of Birch Tree Communities. 

I seek to create an inclusive, efficient, and welcoming work environment where myself and others thrive through encouragement, advocacy, and open communication.
