What is Echo-Form?
Echo-Form is an online tool designed to help individuals document their experiences of discrimination, violation, or adverse events in various contexts, including the workplace, professional networking events, conferences, and online interactions.
How does Echo-Form work?
Users can fill out a form detailing the incident, including the date and time, location, and whether there were witnesses present. However, certain sensitive information such as the incident description and detailed witness information are not stored or accessible to the Echo-Form team once submitted. The technology employed ensures that this information is excluded from the database upon submission, thereby safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of the submitter's data.
What information does Echo-Form store?
The only information Echo-Form stores is the email address of the user, type of discrimination, incident location, whether there were witnesses present (Yes/No), and the impact level of the incident. Incident descriptions and detailed witness information are kept private to the submitter and are not stored or accessible to the Echo-Form team.
How can I access my submitted records?
Once you've submitted a record, you'll receive a confirmation email containing a unique reference number. This email contains the report you submitted along with guidance. You can access your report securely through your email, making it easy to store, tag, or flag as needed. We recommend using a personal email or an email you can access anytime.
Is my information secure on Echo-Form?
Yes, Echo-Form takes data security and privacy seriously. We only collect predefined inputs and your email address for the purpose of sending updates and notifications related to the tool. We do not have a platform where your information is accessible. Your submitted descriptions are private and not stored or accessible to us. Think of it as a slingshot – your data is sent back to your email, and we don't retain it.
Can I request removal of my data from Echo-Form?
Yes, if you would like to request the removal of your predefined information along with your email address from Echo-Form, you may do so via the Echo-Form data removal form. Simply submit your request, and we will process it promptly.
What should I do if I encounter technical issues while using Echo-Form?
Echo-Form is currently in its beta phase. If you encounter any technical issues or have feedback, please use our feedback form to let us know. Your input is invaluable in helping us improve the tool.
Is Echo-Form accessible for individuals with disabilities?
Yes, Echo-Form is equipped with ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities. We are committed to making Echo-Form usable by all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
How is Echo-Form different from reporting platforms?
Echo-Form is a practical utility tool, not a reporting platform. It is designed to help you document and organize your own experiences. We don't take any actions beyond providing a tool that makes it easier for you to document and manage your experiences, empowering you to problem-solve as needed.
