For many years I've been interested in the history behind antique objects.  Who made them?  Who owned them?  How many hands have held this one thing?  Most often those questions are unanswerable, but just holding an object that is hundreds or thousands of years old in your hand gives you the chance to answer one question:  who holds it now?  Each coin is a direct connection to that ancient past.

This site contains images of coins I own with thoughts on the importance of each.  While I may own them now, I do realize I won't be the last, but I do feel the responsibility to allow their histories to continue.
