ECHO Environmental Impact Assessment Report

 Echo Submarine Cable

The ECHO Cable System is the world’s first-ever submarine cable system that directly connects Singapore to California, the United States with branches into Guam, Indonesia, and other landing locations. The Singapore segment of the ECHO Cable System (ECHO-SG) will provide Singapore with low-latency and diverse international telecommunications services.

An assessment of the potential environmental impacts associated with the construction and installation of the ECHO-SG Cable in Singapore has been provided in this Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report. The construction and installation of the ECHO-SG cable is similar to other telecommunication cable systems that have been installed in Singapore in recent years.

The public feedback period has closed.

Please contact eia-sg-echo@google.com to arrange for the viewing of the full EIA report [Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holiday)].
