PET LAB Mission
Photonics Enabled Technology (PET) research lab aims to focus on developing integrated photonics devices and systems for optical communication, high-speed computing, quantum engineering, and sensing applications. Driven by the vision of promoting photonics as a next-generation technology solution, our work encompasses diverse areas, ranging from design, analytic modeling, simulation, fabrication, and integration, aimed at addressing significant challenges in the above-mentioned area. Our key research interest include:
Integrated photonics
Silicon Photonics
Ultra-high speed optical modulators and relevant system
Novel material platform (e.g. TFLN) for photonic integrated circuits
Integrated photonics for AI hardware and quantum communication
Machine learning enabled PIC design and PDK development
