ECE 153B Final Project: Automatic Pet Feeder

Project Overview

Our goal is to use an SPI Display and a STEP motor to create an automatic pet feeder with an interface, using UART / Termite to print a message notifying the user that the pet food bowl is empty and using interrupts to automatically feed the pet at specific time intervals when an empty bowl is detected, as well as IR sensors and distance sensor to detect the pet food bowl is empty at a certai fixed distance / detect when the machine is in the process of dispensing food into the empty bowl.
