I was only a moment just then

is an online exhibition by Scott Allen aka Kit Sire to those at twitter etc. as an exploration of the use of reflection artistic and otherwise on things objects people music and so on.

To be me i can not be other than i am. I look at art as a 'raw finish' on things you know the idea often expressed in art that a piece is never ever really done. Especially once others have got a hold of it say. I mean they can augment contort embellish in certain ways you must recover from for you to go on like you. This is a part of art for me. Yet i know also art is many things and lacks definition to be sure.

Another finding of art i see is how it has uniquely found me and i not so much it. It always sneaks up on me when i am not looking and captures my attention once again. Not that i try to leave it but just that i never quite understand it and its relation to me things whatnot. For this i relish its mystique mystery meaning.

I did a piece that i sent to someone i was in an online relationship with. It was about the body and a possible current state of science. One that treats the body more like a machine so to speak. That can fix it by using current technologies especially i was thinking of those state of the art printers capable of printing most anything that have not to my knowledge really come to be yet. The piece reminded me of 60's style word art and was kind of in the style of a collage with magazine and newspaper clippings on it. Particularly i used a pizza cut out for a metaphor for the body. She still has the piece i assume. I can't quite remember everything i put on it. There are some messages on it that i don't remember what they said exactly now.

I recently said or came up with the familiar saying by changing it slightly to Art is in the eye of the beholder. Of course who else? Well this can get sticky and complicated. Not to belabor it but it allows one to see many things as art but perhaps not all. I could not see everything as art and still do art. This part of me that does not see is what gives me my unique vision or perspective say view of art and things etc.

Things get further complicated by who one is----artistic and otherwise. I mean identity can often seem to be in play in one's life and interests. What you see in what i do may not always be what i see in what i do. I am always open to the voices of others in their impressions and interpretations or ideas of pieces things etc.

Here are a couple books i have written. This one has a story line kind of running through it as Kit Sire goes in search of love and who knows what. It also articulates ideas observations random thoughts at times on whatever may be piqueing Kit's interest.

The other book below is one i wrote many moons ago i want to put out again here now. It is strictly short writings on miscelllaneous stuff similar but different to what i currently still do. I should have the pdf for it available soon.

Lastly i am presently engaged in a music project i am aiming to put here as well as soon as possible. Million Dollar Mountain is the first song so far. Each outlet i undertake feeds into the others in a way which i like to characterize altogether as virtually one outlet or as arts in general.
