Automotive technology encompasses careers in the inspection, repair, maintenance, and restoration of a vehicle's mechanical and electronic systems, including those found on cars, trucks, motorcycles, aircraft, marine and industrial vehicles. Common job titles include vehicle service technician and mechanic.
