ECB Blessing

You may have heard the song - the Blessing - by Kari Jobe. A number of churches and nations have recorded it over the last few months while churches have been closed.

We would like to do an ECB version of the song as we remember all the ways in which God has blessed us over this time and we pray for His blessing over Bicester and the UK.

If you would like to take part, all the information you need is below.

Everyone from the church family is welcome to submit a recording. However, we ask that everyone follows the instructions below.

• Please sing along to this specially recorded track - at the moment it is just a drum beat and keyboards with singing so you know when to come in and so it doesn't feel like it is just you singing alone! Feel free to just sing the tune. The song words are here.

• Please listen to the track on headphones so that the track you submit is just of you singing - without us hearing the backing track.

• Please could you film yourself singing along - landscape (i.e. wide) - on a phone or tablet. The built in mic quality should be fine. This means that the video will perfectly match the audio.

• The video should be not too zoomed out or in - see the examples below.

• Please have a neutral pale/white/cream background.

• Please could you wear a plain top? No big logos.

• The track begins with about 50 seconds of keyboard. Feel free to skip through this and start filming just before the voice comes in.

• At the end, there is about 15 seconds of instrumental outro. Please film yourself during this - don't just finish and rush away - please wait until the music ends before you stop recording.

• This is a chance to sing a blessing over our community - this is not a formal musical performance, so please feel free to smile! You don't need to stand rigidly. Passion and sincerity is what we're going for.
