The Ex Libris California User Group (eCAUG) Conference Planning Committee is now accepting proposals for the eCAUG 2024 Annual Conference to be held in person on October 24-25, 2024, at the CSU Chancellor's Office in Long Beach, CA.
Join us on an extraordinary journey at eCAUG 2024. Whether you are a first-time or veteran presenter, we welcome you! Librarians, faculty, students, industry professionals, and educational leaders of all stripes from all types of libraries and institutions are invited to showcase their ideas, engage in stimulating conversations, and find opportunities to enhance collaboration among California Ex Libris users.
This year the conference theme is “Ghost in the Machine 👻 - What We Do in the System”. The conference focuses on our work within our libraries. Whether you want to share your best practices, innovative configurations, projects on AI and data analysis, or tips and tricks to improve processes, then we're excited to have you! Expect a mix of insightful presentations, interactive workshops, and engaging discussions designed to entertain and enlighten. We're taking an "unconference" approach to create an interactive and inclusive experience.

You can engage in any of the opportunities described below either on your own or with a group of people. We welcome both individual and collaborative presenters.
Facilitating Option 1: Troubleshooting Office Hours
What we’re looking for: Facilitator(s) to lead scheduled one or more 45-minutes office hour sessions, offering support for troubleshooting and answering walk-in questions related to

Facilitating Option 2: Roundtable discussion
What we’re looking for: Leader(s) to facilitate 45-minute group discussions on a topic of your choice.
Each table gets a leader.
Leaders would choose the topic, present it in context as appropriate, prepare prompts for discussions, and guide the flow of discussion. We’d also like to encourage discussions that include a cross-functional component

Generative AI and Resource Description
Presenting Option 1: Short Lightning Talk
What we’re looking for: Present a “show and tell” on one of the topics outlined below. Present solo or as a group. Approximately 5-10 minutes long.
Topics:
“Show and Tell” for an interesting recent library project you participated in.
“Show and Tell” various organizational tools/platforms, best practices for time management, etc.
Presenting Option 2: Presentation
What we’re looking for: Present solo or as a group for your project, workflow, or a topic as your choice. Approximately 30 minutes long with 15 minutes Q&A.
Presenting Option 3: Workshop sessions
What we’re looking for: Presenter(s) for practical “how-to” sessions (demos, discussion-based, workshops, etc) to show participants your skill, hack, or workflow between 45 - 90 minutes.
Topics: focused on one of the following functional areas would be ideal:

Presenting Option 4: Poster sessions
What we’re looking for: poster presenter(s) to showcase their innovative projects, best practices/workflows, and research findings.
