Kirsti Cole is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric, Composition, and Literature at Minnesota State University. She directs the Teaching Writing Graduate Certificate and Master’s of Communication and Composition programs. She has published articles in The Journal of Communication Inquiry, Feminist Media Studies, College English, Harlot, and thirdspace, as well as a number of chapters in edited collections focused on gender, labor, mothering, and digital media. Her collection Feminist Challenges or Feminist Rhetorics was published in 2014. She co-edited the 2017 collection, Surviving Sexism in Academia: Feminist Strategies for Leadership, with Holly Hassel.
Holly Hassel is Professor of English and Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County, a two-year campus of the University of Wisconsin Colleges. She teaches first-year writing, women's and gender studies, and children's literature. Her scholarly work has appeared in College English, Teaching English in the Two-Year College, Feminist Teacher, College Composition and Communication, and others. She is the co-author of the introduction to women's and gender studies textbook Threshold Concepts in Women's and Gender Studies (Routledge, 2nd ed., 2018) and is the editor of the journal Teaching English in the Two-Year College. She co-edited the 2017 collection, Surviving Sexism in Academia: Feminist Strategies for Leadership, with Kirsti Cole.
Hassel and Cole have previously collaboratively edited Surviving Sexism in Academia: Strategies for Feminist Leadership (Routledge, 2017).
